The venue opened for the public on September 28, 2015. The site is considered one of two casinos in North Carolina. The venue is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is a hotel and casino located on the Qualla Boundary in Cherokee, North Carolina.
